Harry: Next up, we’ve got some Mountain Dew. But no original Mountain Dew… I’m a bit of a fan of Mountain Dew. We’ve got different flavours of Mountain Dew here.

[Throughout, Harry has been pronouncing Dew ‘Do’]

Rich: ‘[Over-pronounced] Dew?’ or ‘do?’

Mark: Yeah, I was gonna say, because we are in the UK, so it’s [over-pronounced] dew…

Clive: I would’ve thought [over-pronounced] dew…


Harry: Yeah, but you do the Dew [pronounced ‘do’]. That’s the slogan, in the States.

Clive: Really? Weird.

Harry: So, the first flavour is… Mountain Dew Revolution… infused with wild berry and ginseng, apparently.

Rich: I like the nutrition facts – serving size: one can… It’s one can…

Clive: Yeah, it is just one can…

Rich: Don’t expect more than one can from this one can!

Clive: Like it’s compressed Mountain Dew or something!

Harry: In one can, you’ve got 50g of sugar… in one can…

Clive: [Laughs]

[Harry opens the can]

Clive: That looked a bit tricky to open – it that just shaky hands?

Harry: It’s blue?

Clive: It’s like Bombay Sapphire or something.

Harry: Bombay Sapphire isn’t blue, it’s just the glass!

Clive: [laughs] Is it? Hmm, you can tell I’m a hard-core gin-drinker…

Harry: Blue gin? I can see that going into cocktails!

[Laughter]

Mark: So, what flavour is this?

Clive: Blue?

Harry: Er, wild berry and ginseng. But blue is a good description.

Clive: It’s quite a nice blue…

Mark: Smells weird…

Rich: Smells sherbety.

Harry: [Drinks some] Bleurgh… bubblegum, almost?

Mark: Yeah

Rich: That’s bubblegum flavour. Argh, that’s horrible.

Clive: It’s very sweety though, isn’t it? Sweet shoppy sweets…

Harry: So much sugar!

Mark: It’s almost like bubblegum and sherbet, almost… with overtones of sunny meadows on a fragrant spring morning…

Rich: Tastes like you’ve just licked out the bottom of a pick ‘n’ mix tray.

[Laughter]

Mark: Yeah!

Clive: Kinda tastes clean and neutral until it kicks in with just sugar.

Mark: I like it, I think tastes good.

Harry: It just tastes like there’s an absolute ton of sugar in it…

Mark: It’s very sweet.

Rich: I’m not doing so well, to be honest…

Harry: I’m gonna have some water to keep myself in the game.

Mark: I’m actually starting to feel a little bit… my stomach feels like it’s been assaulted…

Clive: Assaulted with Bawls?
